Who would have thought that at the Portland Zoo one would spot a triceratops…
or an Allosaurus…
or meet a full-sized T-rex….
Those are a few of the creatures that lurk within the Dinosaur Exhibit at the Portland Zoo. Beware, young kids may end up seeing them like this…

Fun! I especially love the last photo as that expression is priceless!
We just saw dinosaurs like this in Provence, France in an area where they use to roam that also has the largest collection of real dinosaur eggs.
Real dinosaur eggs? I had not heard about that. Amazing that something that fragile can be around.
Great pictures…looks like we need to head South for the Portland Zoo. We currently have a yearly pass for our little local zoo.
That last photo cracks me up – For some reason it registered as a safari jeep, with a parent putting their head out the top
Ryan was making a tiny hole for his eyes between the snaps of his hood. It was pretty cute.
Dinosaurs are scary
Love that last photo.
I was also very impressed that there are places with real sized dinosaurs in Costa Rica and Guatemala. My son had a great time in both places.
