Hard to beat an old fashioned train ride, and for that Traintown is the place to go. The train here even stops at a miniature town that you can explore where you’ll find a “petting zoo”. You can feed the animals a handful of food for a quarter, but you are limited in petting whomever gets close to the gate.  In addition to the train, there is an amusement park with some rides. Little ones can ride a carousel, kids over 36 in.  have a few more choices.  The rides are fairly mellow and fun.

September – May Traintown is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. From June – Labor Day it is open daily (10am-5pm). Also, only some of the amusement park rides are open on weekdays.

In the stripmall next door to Traintown there is a nice pizzeria which offers a good selection of kids foods.
