My favorite way to travel used to be to find a place worth exploring, then figure out the day to day details once I got there. What’s a trip without some spontaneous detours? After I had kids, I found my travel style changed completely. Now I want all these pressing questions answered before I bother packing the car; exactly how do I get where I need to go, is there parking nearby or will I need a stroller, and where is the nearest kid-friendly restaurant where we can refuel and regroup if need be. Also, after finding new potential spots to explore, I want to know how to stretch the adventure to include other nearby things, to make the trip getting there more worth the effort. So I thought I would put together my own travel blog that lists great places to go (mini trips) and also includes places nearby to help turn the event into a half day or full day trip. At this time the posts mostly include the areas I know best. As our family trips increase, I expect the number of locations will too. Or even better, let me know of great trips you have taken so others can follow your footsteps!
